Core Development Transforms Alley into Outdoor Event Space

Core Development transformed an underutilized alley in downtown Ardmore into a small yet impactful outdoor dining and event space, Cricket Alley.

Cricket Avenue boasts many boutique shops and restaurants, as well as a prime location right off of bustling Lancaster Avenue, but small sidewalks and a lack of outdoor venues offered minimal opportunities for neighborhood gathering. After redeveloping the buildings at 11 Cricket, Core Development recognized an opportunity to convert an adjacent alley into an outdoor event space.

The space was transformed by adding pressed concrete, landscaping and lighting. During the day, nearby Nudy’s Café uses the space for the breakfast and lunch al fresco. In the late afternoon and evenings, the space is available for special events.
