Core Development Unveils 268 Montgomery, a Design-Led Rental Community in Haverford
Eleven high-end rental residences will combine traditional Main Line character, contemporary new construction and hospitality-inspired design.
Core Development is pleased to announce 268 Montgomery, a collection of 11 high-end rental residences on one of Haverford’s most picturesque, tree-lined streets.
The development will comprise two complementary buildings: the Heritage Collection, featuring seven fully renovated residences within an existing historic-style property, and the Montgomery Collection, a new building with four residences. The community will also include five private garages.
Located directly across from the Merion Cricket Club, adjacent to the Haverford train station and a five-minute drive from Suburban Square, 268 Montgomery will bring together traditional Main Line character, walkable convenience and easy access to Philadelphia.
The Heritage Collection
The existing building will retain the warmth and character of its traditional architecture while each residence is comprehensively modernized. Interiors will feature taupe-grey Shaker cabinetry, quartz countertops, warm wood-look flooring and striking new bathrooms.
The result will be a collection that preserves the building’s established character while providing the comfort, functionality and finish expected from a contemporary luxury residence.
The Montgomery Collection
The new building is conceived as a contemporary companion to its traditional neighbor, combining Main Line elegance with the advantages of brand-new construction. Its four rental residences will offer exceptional scale, privacy and elevated finishes, along with private rooftop decks overlooking the Merion Cricket Club and surrounding neighborhood.

Studio Maro, which completed the interiors for Core Development’s Philadelphia hotels The Artisan and, more recently, The Diplomat, is leading the interior design. Its hospitality experience will help create residences that feel considered, welcoming and distinct from conventional rental housing.
Core Development is also collaborating with Paris-based design firm Atelier Komnou on the project’s branding, website and visual identity. BMC Contracting will once again work with Core Development on the property’s construction.
