Core Rejuvenates Historic Property in Downtown West Chester

Core Development’s recent renovation of the Curtis Hannum House in West Chester, PA showcases the company’s passion for preserving historic properties while creating contemporary luxury dwellings.

322 N. Matlack Street has been completely refurbished for the modern resident while respecting its classic architecture.  Built in 1887, the property overlooks arboreous Marshall Square Park and lies within walking distance of the vibrant retail center of West Chester.  A wraparound porch, tall ceilings, and traditional architectural details create a unique residence with Victorian charm.

Core Development partnered with NK Design to revitalize the previously lackluster interiors to appeal to the modern resident.  The units now include open concept living spaces; spacious, light-filled bathrooms; and chef-worthy kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

“We’ve been both progressive and respectful in our renovations at 322 N. Matlack,” shares Pete Staz, Partner at Core Development.  “We’ve brought our signature high end design to a very special property that’s walkable to downtown.  I think we’ve added a new gem to the West Chester community.”
